Alaska School of Theology at St. John UMC
"Experiencing God"
the Rev. Dr. Jaime Clark-Soles
June 28 & 29
St. John United Methodist Church
A lot of us know about, talk about, think about, and study about God, all of which is vitally important to our faith. But what about experiencing God? What does that entail for us today? How do our Scriptures help to shape the conversation and set us up for such divine encounters? Grab your Bible and let’s explore!
This summer, St. John UMC is resurrecting their annual "School of Theology" workshop with a two-day series of talks by the Rev. Dr. Jaime Clark-Soles, author and professor of New Testament at Perkins School of Theology SMU. These talks are for everyone, from the most seasoned clergyperson to the newest church member, and all are welcome! Costs are modest and include lunch on Saturday; scholarships, childcare, and dietary accomodations are available.
