Join us for an unforgettable evening of storytelling and celebration! Cirque Press introduces four memoirs by Southcentral Alaska writers, including the Rev. Judith Lethin, who was ordained at St. Mary's in 2004 and who has been a part of the St. Mary's family for many years.
Rev. Judith Lethin - A Wonderful-Terrible God
This moving memoir traces the Rev. Lethin's spiritual journey and work within the Yukon and Kachemak Bay tribal communities.
Dot Bardarson - Boardwalk Footsteps
Artist and Governor’s Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Dot Bardarson has written a vivid account of her family’s summers running a Chatham Strait cannery.
Marian Elliott - Out of the Dark
A powerful tale of grief, recovery, and an 8,000-mile road trip to Alaska that changed everything.
Sara Berg - Kissing Kevin: An American Nurse in the Vietnam War
Sara Berg's memoir, written just before her death in January 2024, highlights the courage, sacrifice, and immense contributions of Vietnam War nurses.
This is a wonderful chance to connect with local stories and celebrate the voices that bring our community to life. Refreshments will be served, and books will be available for purchase.
