Racial Reconciliation in the Church and the World
God loves all people equally, but God's universal love is not yet reflected in our society, or in our church. As God's children, we are called to show God's love through the work of undoing racism in the world and in our own hearts.
Pastor Undra Parker of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church is currently leading a 20-Day Reconciliation Community Challenge with resources to help us in our work of anti-racism, and our own Rev. Michael Burke is participating. You can watch one of his videos below, and find out more about the 20-Day Challenge on Shiloh's website.
You can also read about a recent report on racism within the Episcopal Church, its impacts on church members of color, and some of the steps we need to take to combat racism. With God's help, we can, and must, work to make our church and our world reflect God's unconditional love.
