Acolyte Training
Sunday, September 8
following the 10 am service
Sanctuary
Acolytes are an important part of worship. They signal the beginning of the 10 am service, provide assistance to the clergy, help with serving Communion, and lead the clergy and congregation as we "process out into the world" at the dismissal. And this ministry is open to everyone! Anyone who is in 5th grade or older, including adults, is welcome to train to become an acolyte.
Interested in learning more? There will be a training session after the 10 am service on September 8. Current acolytes are asked to attend a training session as well, to refresh their skills and to assist in teaching new acolytes.
Over the summer, acolytes have been serving on an ad-hoc basis; starting September 8, we will return to scheduled acolyte assignments. If you would like more information about training or scheduling, please email Thad Hunter, or call him at (307) 797-9227.
