A message from Rev. Dawn on her mother's passing

Dear colleagues, friends, and people of St. Mary's,

I have witnessed the depth and breadth of God's love made visible in your acts of compassion many times. In the past months, I have experienced these personally more powerfully than I knew possible. Norm and I are forever grateful.

Thank you to the staff and ministers - both lay and clergy - for taking on extra work so that I had the space to be fully present to my siblings and my mother in her final months.

Mom was fun, fashionable, fierce, and faithful. Much of what I know of God and of fashion comes directly from her life. I will return to Texas for her service later this month, but in the meantime, I'm eager to re-engage and re-connect with each of you.
