Children
Children are the heart and soul of the congregation, and their joy, laughter, and probing questions bring God's presence to us while helping us learn and grow in our own faith.
Children of all ages are always welcome in the sanctuary for services. There are activity boxes and coloring sheets available in the narthex for those who would like them.
If they choose, children and youth may also attend Godly Play (ages 4-third grade) or Sunday School (third grade-high school) during the 10 am Sunday service; they will return in time for Communion.
The nursery in Waldron Hall is open from 9:30-11:30 for infants and children up to 3 years old; parents and children may also visit the Wiggle Room at the rear of the sanctuary, from which the service can be seen and heard.
Godly Play
Stepping into St. Mary's children's chapel one sees a notable simplicity, a child-friendly environment with obvious structure, and familiar liturgical colors. Materials are presented at the children's eye level including the beautiful lectern and altar for role playing. Children's Christian Formation
Most Sundays during the school year, we offer Christian formation for children and youth in 3rd-12th grade at 9 am, between the 8 am and 10 am services. The first Sunday of the month, there is no Christian Formation offered; instead, the congregation gathers together to enjoy a pancake breakfast at 9 am.
