Ways to Worship
Whether you live in Anchorage, elsewhere in Alaska, or in another state or country, we warmly invite you to join us each Sunday on Zoom, Facebook Live, or Twitch, or in the sanctuary on our church campus at Tudor and Lake Otis.
A few important notes:
Children of all ages are always welcome in the sanctuary for services – their voices, energy, and joy remind us that we, too, are children of God. There are activity boxes and coloring sheets available in the narthex for anyone who would like them (including adults!).
For those who wish, a staffed nursery for infants and children up to 3 years old is available in Waldron Hall (to the right as you enter the church) on Sunday mornings from 9:45-11:30 am. Parents and children may also use the Wiggle Room at the rear of the sanctuary (on the left side of the narthex/lobby) from which the service can be seen and heard, and which is available for those who would prefer to be in a more relaxed space during the service.
Godly Play, a hands-on spiritual exploration and learning experience for children aged 4 and up, takes place during the 10 am service from September through May. Children and their parents should check in with the doorkeeper at room 1 downstairs before the 10 am service.
Youth Church, an in-depth exploration of Episcopal worship for middle and high school-aged youth that includes planning and leading worship services a few times a year, is also held during the 10 am service, in the chapel.
Children and youth return to the sanctuary in time for Communion and the remainder of the 10 am service.
Sunday School classes are held at 9 am in the downstairs classrooms for school-age children and youth.
Those attending services via Zoom who have their cameras on will be visible to the on-campus congregation for portions of the service, especially during the Passing of the Peace; on-campus or online, you are a full participant and full member of our congregation, and your presence is important.
During portions of hybrid services, images of the congregation are visible to the online congregation. Seats on the far right of the sanctuary (near the southeast windows) are outside of the area that is visible to cameras.
If you are ill, we encourage you to wear a mask or attend online. Masks are available in the narthex as you enter the main church building; please remember especially to mask or attend church online if you have a cough or other symptoms. When it comes to germs, not sharing is caring!
Online or on campus, with a group or on your own – all are welcome. Give yourselves grace, and come as you are.
